Sleep Out participants commit to raising funds and awareness for Covenant House, a network of shelters that provides safety and support to homeless young people in more than 30 cities across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Money raised by Sleep Out goes directly to getting - and keeping - kids off the streets.
Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless. It’s a demonstration to homeless young people that you care - deciding that you can’t stay indoors while so many kids remain outside.
Whether you join a Sleep Out at a Covenant House site, Sleep Out on your own, or start a Sleep Out with your friends and family, colleagues or neighbors, you're shining a light on the injustice of youth homelessness and inspiring entire communities to step up and protect kids.
All it takes is you, a safe place to sleep outside, and your commitment to helping youth off the streets and into a positive environment.
On this night, power meets purpose. C-suite executives, business owners, and leaders across the U.S. and Canada make a significant impact on homeless kids.
You give it your all in every waking moment - now try it in your sleep. Take to the streets with your sisters, your colleagues, and girlfriends, and let homeless kids know they aren't alone.
Young Professionals unite for one night as the next generation of advocates, raising funds and awareness for homeless youth, not much younger than they are.
A unique course of social action, Sleep Out can be a cross-department or industry-wide team building activity. Colleagues forge bonds while engaging in an immersive experience in solidarity with homeless kids.
This is your chance as a student to stand up for homeless kids and teens, many your own age, and let them know they're not alone. Plan a Sleep Out in your own community to raise funds to support their basic needs.
